We're not the Good Shepherds. We're the Shepherds that are pissed.

This house is not bad. The outside needs some updating. Yes. But, it's lacking something else. Maybe landscaping you say? Yes.
This is our home. We recognize the exterior leaves a lot to be desired. We intend to change out the front door, put up cedar columns/shutters and paint the brick. But we deliberately have no landscaping. And here's why...
This afternoon was headed towards being a normal afternoon. We decided we were going to run to Target and Direct Buy when we got home from work. I pulled up in the driveway to see a warning from the City on our front door. They cited us with weeds in our flower beds, overgrown bushes, etc. Our neighbors repeatedly call the City of Bartlett on us. This must be the 10th notice we've received in the last 18 months. We are not white trash. We are just busy. And we've had enough. Our yard is not on the top of our priority list.
So what did we do?? David immediately pulled out the chainsaw and cut down all the bushes. And I completely ripped up the brick pavers. ABSOLUTELY NO landscaping in the front yard = no way we can get these citations anymore. And it means our neighbors (that live across the street and win Yard of the Month consistently) have to look at this unattractive yard. AND the lovely design David created with the brick pavers (it's a little abstract but hopefully you can tell what it's meant to be :) )
